With The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom now available, there’s no better way to celebrate than with the special edition version of the Nintendo Switch OLED model. However, until recently, it was sold out pretty much everywhere.
Thankfully, it has come back into stock, although we’re not sure how long it’ll still be available.
Priced at £319.99 in the UK and available on Amazon, the limited edition console is the exact same as the standard Switch OLED model when it comes to internal specifications. But, Zelda fans will love the decals on the rear.
The Joy-Cons, for example, are gold coloured and adorned with imagery from the game. The front of the Switch dock features the Hylian Crest – again in gold – while the rear of the main console unit also features themed designs.
There’s just one thing missing
It is worth noting, however, that you do not get the game in the box – neither as a cartridge nor download code. You will have to buy that separately.
Thankfully, Amazon also has a bit of a deal on the boxed copy of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom right now. It is currently available with 4 per cent off – priced at £49.99.
We’re yet to publish our full review of the game (that’s coming soon), but can say from our extensive play through so far that it takes everything that is great and good about Breath of the Wild and adds a whole new layer of customisation and crafting fun.
It also looks superb on the Switch OLED display, so maybe now’s the time to make that purchase you were putting off for a rainy day.
